Our appearance in Electrical Review’s Suppliers Guide 2020 focuses on how our newest transformerless UPS passes an airport test with flying colours.
Summer sees leading trade magazine Electrical Review release its annual suppliers guide.
Published in print and online, it’s seen as the “industry bible” and features proven providers in sections such as data centre design and build, building services, and automation.
Naturally, Riello UPS takes pride of place as the main feature in the UPS and standby power section.
But the suppliers guide isn’t just a handy collection of company contact details. It also brings together examples of best practice and thought-leadership articles from leading businesses.
For this year’s publication, Riello UPS Sales Manager Chris Cutler showcases our third generation of transformerless online UPS systems – the Sentryum.
Airport Installation Sees Sentryum Flying High
The article focuses on a recent project where a 15 kVA Sentryum replaced an end of life uninterruptible power supply protecting IT and operational equipment at Belfast International Airport.
Certified Riello UPS reseller and service partner Ashdale Engineering Ltd carried out the works.
The Belfast-based business is a long-standing supplier to Belfast International Airport, with the relationship between the two parties dating back more than 20 years.
For this particular project, the Sentryum proves the perfect choice.
Not only does the advanced transformerless UPS deliver exceptional energy efficiency (up to 96.5%). But choosing range’s Compact (CPT) cabinet kept the required footprint in the airport’s comms room to a minimum.
The majority of the work took place during the airport’s usual operating hours. Final connections and the switchover occurred out of hours to minimise the risk of disruption.
