Riello Galatrek a leading supplier of uninterruptible power supplies has recently been awarded two major occupational health and safety certifications - OHSAS 18001 and SAFEContractor. The awards were a major achievement for a company which has experienced a thirty percent growth in turnover since 2003.

Riello Galatrek was awared the OHSAS 18001 certification for its Occupational Health and Safety management system after an extensive on-site audit by the NQA. The OHSAS 18001 accreditation demonstrates that the company has a formal system for the managment of the health and safety of its employees and site visitors. This is a requirement for all UK companies under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

The SAFEContractor scheme is a further third party assessment body for health and safety management. Successful review leads to an organisation being placed on their database which can be viewed on line at www.safecontractor.co.uk. The database is used as an approved supplier list by many leading public and private sector organisations to ensure that only comapnies with audited health and safety systems are used.
