New Win Dialog Plus UPS Rides Through SOHO disturbances

Small office PCs and file servers are full of new and more power-demanding features which need more powerful protection. In addition, ICT users and professionals would like to protect important peripherals whilst on-line as well. In response, Riello Galatrek is announcing significant upgrades to its low-cost, interactive uninterruptible power systems (UPS) designed for PCs and file server protection in small networks.

The new Win Dialog Plus UPS range from the entry level 400VA model with a list price of £74, through to the 550VA Win Dialog (£89), and Win Dialog Plus 650VA (£99). The new prices are over 15% lower than the previous generation models.

The powerful 650VA model can support up to 3 PCs or a single file server and keep them running for up to 10 minutes when the mains fails. The PowerShare output socket control technology also gives users the opportunity to select which loads to power when the mains fails to further enhance battery runtime.

Each of the UPS have added communications features. They include telephone line/modem surge protection filters and a built in RS232 port which provides the facility to connect the UPS to the PowerShield² UPS monitoring and control software bundled with each.

Both the Win Dialog Plus UPS and PowerShield² software are MicroSoft certified products.

For less sophisticated applications an entry level model without RS232 communications and the PowerShield² software is also available. The 400VA Win Dialog retails for £63 and is ideal for the protection of a single PC, modems and routers.
