The IEE & Riello UPS Technical Energy Consultants Seminars

A new series of Energy Forums aimed at consultants, contractors and large corporate users has been announced for 2004 by The IEE and Riello UPS – Europe’s leading manufacturer of Uninterruptible Power Systems.

The Energy Forums will cover the area of business continuity with presentations to prompt discussion on the topics of power system design, electrical cabling, battery selection and maintenance, generator installation, remote field alarms and secure room installation including bomb, fire and water proof facilities.

Speakers from other leading specialist companies including Yuasa, Progress Plant (FG Wilson distributor), Pennine Telecom (Orange Fixed Cellular Terminal specialist) and Secure IT.

This is the second Energy Forum to tour the UK, back by popular demand, and is particularly relevant to consultants, specifiers, contractors, IT and facilities managers, who want to improve their business continuity knowledge. The presentations are equally applicable to existing and new build installations.

The Energy Forms are chaired Darren Barsby, Head of Professional Networks for the IEE. Darrren closes the seminars with a brief overview on the topics raised, and a presentation on the products, services and membership opportunities provided by the IEE, designed to meet the needs of today's technology industry.

The seminars are run at a variety of locations including leading football grounds such as Old Trafford (Manchester United), the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and Glasgow University. · 18 March Glasgow – Glasgow University

· 21 April Reading – Madeski Stadium

· 28 April Manchester – Old Trafford

· 11 May Birmingham – Villa Park

· 12 May Cardiff – Millennium Stadium

Further dates over the summer period will cover Dublin, Belfast and other mainland UK locations. Each Energy Forum follows the timetable pioneered by Riello UPS in Italy, France, Germany and Spain, to ensure that each delegate receives the same consistently high standard of training and knowledge. The prize draw is made by Darren Barsby of The IEE and lunch is provided.
