Riello UPS has become an official sponsor to the Ducati Corse Superbike and MotoGP teams for the coming season. Behind the scenes, the Ducati team will rely on Riello uninterruptible power supplies to protect their sophisticated telemetry, control and communication systems. At each event, the Riello UPS logo will be seen by thousands of race visitors, watching the Ducati Corse motorcycle company, and in particular on the team trucks, in the hospitality and pit workshop areas and at the European Grand Prix.
“This is an important collaboration and one we value tremendously”, commented Fabio Passuelllo the Riello UPS General Manager. “We wanted to find a team that shared our vision for technological innovation, resource optimisation and quality processes, and a sport that required similar levels of discipline, control and application.”
Riello UPS is a member of the Riello Elettronica Group lead by Pierantonio Riello and is a major player within the power protection industry supplying over 120,000 systems a year – enough to provide power to a city of over 1.5 million inhabitants. UPS from the company can be found supporting a range of applications from single information and technology systems to large industrial complexes. One of its most prestigious case studies for 2006 centred around the G8 meeting in Saint Petersburg where Riello UPS ensured total power security, even in the event of an accidental or terrorist induced mains power failure.
“Ducati symbolises Made in Italy to the World”, commented Pierantonio Riello. “The company must continuously develop leading-edge solutions to maintain its competitiveness and it was for these reasons that we chose to work with the Bologna based organisation. This sponsorship arrangement brings together two very similar cultures. We hope, that with Riello UPS as a major sponsor, Ducati riders such as Capirossi and Bayliss, can achieve a string of victories against their Japanese rivals.”
