Riello Picks up Two Gongs at 2007 Frost & Sullivan Awards
Published: Jan 25, 2008
Riello UPS has been awarded two accolades from global growth consultancy Frost & Sullivan. The 2007 Product Line Leadership and Customer Value Enhancement Awards were given to Riello following a recent review of the European uninterruptible power supplies market. Both awards recognise Riello UPS’ commitment to customer focused solutions and its range of innovative single and three-phase power systems.
Each year Frost & Sullivan presents these awards to companies that most clearly demonstrate an outstanding ability to satisfy the needs of customers and the market place. To be the best, a manufacturer’s product range is judged across a number of importance factors including: price, technical performance and features.
”The new MULTI PLUS from Riello UPS is a clear example of why the company deserves this award” commented Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Ms. Pallavi Suresh. “This UPS was designed to meet the call for flexible power protection within the growing three-phase UPS market in Europe. Here in particular, customers wanted a UPS that could be used across the widest possible number of load types and installation environments, with energy saving features, advanced communications options and outstanding electrical performance.”
The MULTI PLUS UPS range has been designed to cover critical data applications and is packaged in conveniently sized units of 10, 12, 15, 20, 30 and 40kVA, all with internal batteries. Models up to 20kVA have been installed across Europe to great acclaim and the 30 and 40kVA models are expected to ship later this year.
One of the most appealing features of the MULTI PLUS range is its substantial energy-saving potential which can result in 40% less dissipated energy savings per annum than a traditional UPS solution. This gives the MULTI PLUS a distinct advantage at a time when energy costs are rising and there is a growing desire within organisations to help preserve natural resources and reduce carbon emissions.
Alongside its product innovation strategy, Riello UPS has consistently maintained a focus on its customers - building strong customer relationships and developing an effective distribution channel. On demand delivery of its UPS and spare parts and outstanding service and maintenance provision are key aspects of its growth strategy and have enabled the company to generate a high level of trust and customer goodwill.
The awards also show consistency as Riello was successful in 2005 receiving the Frost and Sullivan European Energy Excellence Award for Competitive Strategy Leadership.
Says Robin Koffler, General Manager, Riello UPS: “For me it was the culmination of an extremely successful year in 2007. We have exceeded expectations in terms of growth and turnover, which is encouraging, particularly given the current economic uncertainty. As well as continued innovation demonstrated in our new product range, our focus on customer service and support excellence has been relentless and this is reflected in our most recent customer success stories with high-profile operations such as the University of Edinburgh (Cray Supercomputer), Ethel Austin Retail, Tyne Tunnel, Grattan and the Cumberland Building Society.”
Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognise companies in a variety of regional and global markets demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify best practices in the industry.
